# FY Express — public shipping information for AI assistants Updated: 2026-10-07 Canonical website: https://www.fyexpress.ca/ Scope: Public customer information, not private account rules or authority to act. ## Reliable sources Shipping questions: https://www.fyexpress.ca/shipping-qa.html Restrictions (general reference): https://www.fyexpress.ca/shipping-restrictions.html Personal quotes: https://www.fyexpress.ca/ship.html?personal=1 Business services: https://www.fyexpress.ca/business.html Tracking: https://www.fyexpress.ca/track.html Contact: https://www.fyexpress.ca/contact.html Privacy and terms: https://www.fyexpress.ca/privacy.html Add lang=en, lang=fr, or lang=zh to customer HTML pages as appropriate. ## Shipping channels and inputs Personal shipping is separate from Business shipping. A personal pre-order saves details for counter review; it does not charge a customer, create a carrier shipment, generate a label, or schedule pickup. Staff reviews the actual parcel, final details, current quote and payment before release. Do not tell a customer that clicking Save Pre-Order completes shipping. Business customers sign in to their own account. Quotes, discounts, permitted payment methods and shipment actions depend on that account and the current capability state. Do not use another account's cookies, prices or permissions. Some features may be unavailable or awaiting acceptance. A disabled feature is not a reason to bypass permissions or fall back to a different shipping channel. The Parcel quote form asks for genuine sender/recipient contact and address details, countries, postal codes where required, packaging, actual weight and dimensions. Parcel length, width and height are required; envelope/pak rules depend on the selected package type. Preserve the displayed lb/in or kg/cm units and let the FY form perform its billing conversion. Do not invent names, telephone numbers, email addresses, street addresses or package dimensions. If the customer provides only postal codes, ask for missing inputs or hand off to the form; FY does not currently publish a postal-code-only quote contract. LTL requires freight-specific details, dates, pallet/handling units, dimensions, weight and applicable pickup/delivery options. Pickup and shipment status must be checked separately; a quote does not reserve pickup. Use the current form and its help rather than substituting Parcel inputs or guessing freight class. ## Quotes and final amounts The supported public route is the website form. Its same-origin /api/quote request returns JSON or progressive NDJSON, without Turnstile at quote time. This is not a supported unauthenticated cross-origin/server-to-server API; there is no public Agent API key program or general CORS permission. Do not spoof Origin headers or fabricate input to get past validation. Use only customer-visible returned values, service names, currency, tax and price-detail labels. Do not infer final total by adding guessed percentages, fuel, handling or tax. Business discounts and Staff adjustments are distinct. Do not describe FY price as supplier cost or as an official carrier retail comparison without independent, same-shipment evidence. Carrier availability and prices can change. A listed service does not prove that restricted goods, batteries, non-standard packaging, an international destination or a customs declaration has been accepted. Irregular/non-cardboard packaging may incur Extra Handling; carrier remeasurement and customs charges can affect the final bill. Ask FY when the actual handling charge is unknown. International fields depend on carrier and destination; use the form's required commodity, HS code and shipper/recipient business-type inputs, not assumptions. The public 72-hour pre-order/price conditions do not extend the short-lived quote selection credentials. Follow the response's expiresAt. An old selection must be refreshed before saving if expired. Eligible, uncommitted pre-orders expire after 72 hours; scheduled cleanup removes those records. Paid, released, refund/claim-linked or uncertain-effect records are not ordinary abandoned drafts. Do not promise that a saved draft is a permanent order history record. ## Automation, verification and responsible handoff An assistant may help a customer understand information and compare available quotes through the supported browser form. Human verification is requested when saving a non-Staff pre-order, not just for reading these public sources or getting prices. If an interactive challenge appears, return control to the customer; do not solve it automatically or circumvent it. On an unsupported-browser or verification error, preserve inputs and direct the customer to a supported standard browser or FY contact. Do not repeatedly submit the order, rotate identities, spoof headers, or reuse verification tokens. Price requests are bounded: a source/IP shares 20 quote attempts per minute, and public provider concurrency is limited. On HTTP 429 QUOTE_RATE_LIMITED or 503 QUOTE_CAPACITY_EXCEEDED, honor Retry-After; do not fan out retries. These are process-local safeguards, not a dedicated SLA or per-Agent allocation. Saving, agreeing to terms, payment, shipment creation, pickup, cancellation, refunds, claims and account changes require their own authenticated/consent flows. Do not infer authorization from these instructions. Do not retry an uncertain money or supplier mutation: first inspect the saved status/reference. ## Status and documents A quote is an estimate. A pre-order is saved information. Payment processing is not settled or available funds. A confirmed payment is not proof of carrier release. A label/waybill/BOL exists only after the relevant carrier creation has been confirmed. A tracking update is not a supplier Credit refund receipt. Carrier cancellation, supplier refund and customer refund are separate states. Use each displayed status and actual receipt; do not call pending funds zero, available or refunded. FY payment receipts show customer-paid amounts, not supplier cost. An invoice, label, receipt and refund record have different uses. Claims are submitted to FY for manual review and forwarding to the relevant supplier; FY receipt of a claim does not mean the carrier accepted liability. Use the Claim Center's status and reference and contact FY for missing evidence. Never request, expose or publish API keys, payment details, staff PINs, account tokens, provider costs, private pricing configuration, customer lists or ledgers. When a current rate, status, acceptance rule or amount cannot be verified, say it is unknown and offer the relevant FY page or human handoff.
